What We Believe
We follow the God of the Bible who exists in three distinct persons (Father, Son and Holy Spirit). Jesus Christ (the Son of God) is the second member of the Trinity who became flesh to continue God’s story to man. He is the Savior of our lost world. The Bible is the inspired Word of God written by men who were moved by the Holy Spirit. It tells God’s story.
Mankind was created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him, but became alienated from that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, men and women are totally incapable of coming back into a right relationship with God by their efforts. The shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross provides the only basis for restoration of relationship with God. Restoration occurs when a person places his/her faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.
Every person that follows Jesus should live for Him . . . not for self. By obedience to God’s Word and daily yielding to the Holy Spirit, every follower (disciple) will mature and become more like Jesus.
The church is the body of Christ with Jesus its head. The church is the hope of the world. Its members are those who have trusted, by faith, the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and by making Him known to a lost world.
