Welcome to Women’s Ministries

The goal of our ministry is simple – to give women the opportunity to live out their lives in God’s story, experiencing real life together with real people in a real church. We welcome all women, at all stages of spiritual growth: those exploring God’s story, who are curious about what it means to have a relationship with the Lord; young Christians of all ages who have tasted the joy of growing closer to God, and want more; to women who have been walking with Jesus Christ for many years and are willing and able to share what they have learned with the rest of us. We strive to offer activities that nurture a woman physically, emotionally and spiritually.

“May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else.” I Thessalonians 3:12

Having a relationship with Jesus is what Christianity is all about. Christ loves each and every one of us more than we can possibly imagine. As our love for each other increases, it will overflow onto those around us who touch our lives: family members, friends, neighbors, co-workers . . . even those we have not yet met, by virtue of our actions and the way we live our lives.

Women’s Ministries offers many opportunities to live life together: Friday night get-togethers for games, line-dancing, movies, crafts projects, etc.; Saturday morning brunches with worship and teaching; and periodic special events, such as a Spring Tea, our annual Christmas tree-decorating party and gift-exchange; simulcast events featuring such renowned Christian leaders as Beth Moore, John Eldredge and Rick Warren, and guest speakers, including former Mrs. America, Sherri Rose Shepherd.

Weekend retreats, most recently held at beautiful Zephyr Cove in Lake Tahoe, offer ample time for fellowship, as well as worship, biblical teaching and testimonials by the incredible women we are blessed to have as members of Warehouse. They nurture our women “from the inside out.”

One of our most popular events was an evening devoted to pampering our hard-working ladies, called “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” which featured complimentary manicures, pedicures, skin-care treatments, chick-flicks, an informal “sleepover,” followed by a pancake breakfast the following morning, served by the men of our church.
